Open the right Google Ads account
Go to ads.google.com and sign in. If you manage more than one account, check the account name and Customer ID at the top of the screen so you are linking the correct one.
This guide walks you through linking your Google Ads account to our manager account and sharing your Meta business assets with our Business Manager. Both take about 10 minutes. You stay the owner of every account, and you can remove our access at any time.
We work from our own SurgeX accounts. Your passwords, 2-step verification codes and recovery details stay with you, and nobody on our team signs in as you.
Linking to our MCC or adding us as a Meta partner does not transfer ownership. Your ad accounts, Page, pixel and billing stay in your business. If we part ways, everything stays with you.
Unlink our manager account in Google Ads or remove us as a partner in Meta, and access ends straight away for every person on our team at once.
When someone joins or leaves our team, we update it on our side. You do not have to add or remove individual emails, and no former employee keeps access to your account.
Google Ads Change history and Meta's activity log show which user made each change. Shared logins hide this. Named access keeps it clear.
Logins to one personal account from new devices and countries often trigger Meta and Google security checks, and sometimes restrictions. Business-level access avoids that risk.
Support options vary by country, account spend and program eligibility, and Google and Meta change them from time to time. We use whichever channel is open to us for your account.
Go to ads.google.com and sign in. If you manage more than one account, check the account name and Customer ID at the top of the screen so you are linking the correct one.
In the left menu, click Admin (the gear icon). Then click Access and security.
At the top of the page you will see tabs for Users, Managers and Security. Click Managers, then click the round + button to link a manager account.
Please use the Managers tab, not the Users tab. Linking a manager account gives our whole team access without you adding each person by email.
In the box that opens, paste our manager customer ID:
515-194-9052
Click Send request. If Google asks you to confirm, approve it.
The request shows as Pending until we accept it on our side, usually within a few hours on business days. After that the status changes to Active and you are done.
Please send us your 10-digit Customer ID so we can match the request to your account.
Got an email from us instead? If we sent the link request from our side, you will get an email from Google Ads. Click Accept request in that email, or go to Admin, Access and security, Managers and click Accept next to SurgeX Digital.
You share each asset with Partial access and tick the tasks listed below. This lets us review your setup, build campaigns and read reports. We cannot change billing, payment methods or who has access.
Once we start running your account, we will ask you to switch the same assets to Full control. This lets us fix tracking, manage pixel and app settings, and handle account issues without waiting on you.
| Asset | Phase 1: Partial access (tick these) | Phase 2: Full control |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook Page | Content, Messages, Community activity, Ads, Insights | Switch on Full control |
| Ad account | Manage campaigns, View performance, Manage Creative Hub mockups | Switch on Full control (settings, finances, permissions) |
| Instagram account | Content, Messages, Community activity, Ads, Insights | Meta does not let you give partners full control of Instagram. Keep all partial tasks ticked. |
| Dataset / Pixel | All tasks shown under Partial access | Switch on Full control |
| App | All tasks shown under Partial access (for example, develop, test, view insights) | Switch on Full control |
| WhatsApp account | All tasks shown under Partial access | Switch on Full control |
Meta sometimes renames tasks. If a label looks different on your screen, tick every task offered under Partial access.
Go to business.facebook.com/settings. If you have more than one business portfolio, pick the one that owns your ad account from the dropdown at the top left.
In the left menu, under Users, click Partners. Click Add, then pick Give a partner access to your assets.
Do not pick "Ask a partner to share their assets". That option works the other way around.
Paste our Business ID:
5136485083243361
Click Next. You should see SurgeX Digital appear as the partner name. If a different name shows up, stop and check the number.
You will see asset types on the left. Work through each one:
Skip any asset type you do not have, for example if you do not run an app.
Check the summary, then click Assign assets (on some screens it says Save changes). SurgeX Digital now shows on your Partners list with the assets you shared.
Message us once this is done. We accept on our side and assign the right people from our team.
When we ask you to upgrade our access:
Instagram stays on partial access with all tasks ticked. Meta does not offer full control of Instagram to partner businesses.
Your Google login does not have Admin access to the account. Ask an account admin to do these steps, or to upgrade your access under Admin, Access and security, Users.
A Google Ads account can link to several managers, so this is usually fine. If another agency owns the account, tell us and we will work out the right setup.
You need full control of the business portfolio, and you must use a desktop browser. Go straight to business.facebook.com/settings.
Meta now shows pixels under Datasets (inside Data sources). If it is still missing, the pixel may sit in a personal ad account outside your portfolio. Let us know.
Yes. In Google Ads, go to Admin, Access and security, Managers and unlink us. In Meta, go to Users, Partners, pick SurgeX Digital and remove the partner. Both take effect right away.
